  Abstract:

Intercultural Identity in the Families with Mixed Nationality and Religion. As the result of the globalization, our world becomes more and more multicultural. Where the different cultures meet or overlap it inevitable leads to the interaction, amalgamation or fight between them. The identity of the people who live in culturally mixed settings is formed by the intercultural factors. Identity cannot be defined by one aspect, but it can be traced by analyzing the main features of the personal and social life. This paper gives a glimpse on the four main social dimensions of life from the viewpoint of the cultural identity. These are: individual-family aspects, cultural-national, transcendental-religious, and social-economic dimensions of the identity. Understanding the dynamics of the mixed families, can be of help in counselling mixed couples, especially understand and treat the children in the mixed families.
